Description
Here is THE EXTREMELY RARE MONO MIX of the 1967 legendary LP from The Velvet Underground & Nico (Verve V-5008). The mono mix is somewhat different than the common stereo version. The Andy Warhol pop art gatefold cover completes this incredible rock and roll artifact.
CONDITION of LP: The lp is very clean with good luster and only a few minor light surface scuffs. Some minor crackling is audible in quiet passages. The name of a record store located in State College, PA is stamped on the A-side of the label.
CONDITION of COVER: (SEE PICS) The gatefold cover has a small hole-punch in the lower left corner. The banana sticker is intact with a minor 1-inch tear near the top. The highest tip of the banana has lost some stickiness over the years and has started to unpeel a slight amount. There is slight ring wear and a tiny 1-inch seam split on the open corner of the rear gatefold. The rear cover has the sticker covering as a result of the famous lawsuit by Warhol Superstar Eric Emerson, which makes this version rare, since later issues were airbrushed. Original Verve inner sleeve. Printing on spine is excellent and all intact.
OVERALL I rate this between VG and VG+ (Goldmine standards).
SHIPPING: I will ship vinyl with absolute care using bubble wrap and sturdy boxes to make sure the record arrives to the high bidder in perfect shape. Insurance is strongly recommended.
