The Velvet Underground & Nico album, often called the "Banana Album," was produced by Andy Warhol in 1967, though he was more of a nominal producer and creative director, with Verve Records staff producer Tom Wilson also involved.
VINYL: VG Original thick inflexible vinyl. Most of these thin hairlines are unfeelable. See sound testing below
COVER: NM- (See pics) One of the nicest Gatefold original covers I have ever seen. No seam splits, no ringwear, no edgewear and the spine is very legible. The Original Sticker on the front cover is nearly in its full entirety. It seems the original owner attempted started to peel it from the top to see if the original reddish pink banana underneath was really there...which it is. (see closeup pic)
SOUND TESTED: Plays with surface crackle on most of the tracks.
Next Day shipping. Vinyl and cover will be separated. Packed in a professional, sturdy Lp mailer with two additional cardboard filler pads to preserve this iconic album with such a beautiful cover.
