Description
Velvet Underground and Nico - Classic first LP - original US Stereo pressing on Verve V6-5008 complete with very thick card gatefold sleeve.
The banana has been fully peeled on the front and there is no Emerson on the rear sleeve. Original Verve blue labels with the silver 3 way 'prong'.
Looking online, this version appears to be identified as a West Coast pressing from 1968, with the with the following matrix numbers :
Side 1: V6-5008 SIDE-1 MGS-558-REV
Side 2: V6-5008 SIDE-2 MGS-559
Unfortunately has water damage to the bottom inch or so - which is most obvious on the front - see pics. There is also a split along the top edge of the back gatefold. I will grade this a very harsh G+, but see for yourself
As for the vinyl, I will grade as VG-- ... with a few visible marks on either side, but the vinyl still has a good sheen to it.
