Description

The Velvet Underground and Nico - Verve V6-5008 - the iconic Warhol December 1966 original, mostly intact Banana Cover (see pics -- some spots show peeling).  Rear cover has the airbrush treatment to take out the model's face that originally appeared (thus 3rd state). Cover has a 4" seam split on the top, and the upper left corner shows a little corner rub wear --- initials (C.A.B.) on front cover and both sides of label...  I am calling the cover VG, maybe VG+ (you judge with the pics) due to the condition of the banana peel and the seam split.  The record has not fared as well.  I know of at least two small skips (during Heroin and I'll be your mirror), and there is some hiss and noise evident --- still, it plays all the way through, and most songs without issue.  There are a number of visible marks on the vinyl, and it is evident that the record has been played (and presumably enjoyed) a multitude of times --- I'll call it VG-, maybe G+ (but you can call it what you want)...  I'd say 85% of it plays VG, but the other issues (especially the couple of skips) bring the overall rating down...  Still --- you don't see a lot of unpeeled banana covers anymore, and that is the attraction here (at least IMHO)...  Blue "T" Verve label,  Label credits * Tom Wilson with production on Sunday Morning, Matrix etched with MGS 558 REV (side 1) and MGS 559 REV (side 2)...   Good Luck!
Other stuff:
If you win multiple items, I am happy to combine shipping (just let me know in case I don't notice or if items end on different days). After packing/weighing and providing a choice of speed or cost (I almost always use USPS --- sometimes there is little difference), I will then invoice you reflecting your shipping choice. Record albums/CD's are sent via Media Mail unless otherwise stipulated...
Consistent with general Ebay policy, I expect payment within 48 hours. If it doesn't happen immediately, I will send you an invoice to remind you. If no response within 48 hours of auction close I will either re-list the item or send-chance it, and buyer will forfeit the “win”.
I try to ship either same-day or next-day (and have, so far, been successful with that).
