Description
Original 1st pressing of Andy Warhol's Velvet Underground & Nico LP 1967 Verve Records Stero V6-5008 with original inner promo sleeve. This is the infamous "torso" copy which features on the back cover the upsidedown hanging head and arms of a man. What makes this so rare is the "torso" man went on to sue the Velvet Underground for using his likeness without permission. Immediatly all copies were pulled and reissued with giant stickers over the torso, subsequent pressings had the torso faded out completely. I understand there were only a couple hundred released of this first pressing version. Cover is VG+ condition. No nasty ringwear that is normally associated with this LP just some pull lines from a previous collection, some smuges from dirty hands and light general wear. The inside gatefold is is great shap nice and white. The spine is great and the corners are great too, no creases at all. The seams have a couple small splits and are little warn but nothing major. Back cover has light wear at the top but still very clean. No sticker stains or water stains. Record is VG plays fine with some light crackles, labels are near mint. Great copy of this american cult classic LP. I will be happy to anwser any questions as I know this is a rare record and I my best to be as accurate as possible. Shipping $6 US and $14 overseas. Payment is paypal (overseas only) or money order, and must arrive within 10 days of auction end or negative feedback may be left....good luck.....garage punk psychedelic 60's death metal beatles fuzz freakbeat acid goth hippie northern soul rolling stones hard rock andy warhol blues.
