Description

ARTIST: The Velvet Underground
LABEL: MGM V6 5046
TITLE: White Light White Heat
CONDITION:
Sleeve: VG+ to VG++ / The front cover is VG+ to VG++ some wear, the back cover is VG++ w/ a little light wear and a couple of light scratches. Has a tiny partial 1/2" tear along the opening edge, some bottom seam nicks and a small split at the left corner. The top seam has some light wear w/ some splitting at the top left corner. Has a 2" partial split at the top of the spine. Has a small hole punch.
Record: Retains high original gloss w/ some light surface scuffs and some light scratches. There is a feelable scratch midway through Track 2, Side A that causes some light background ticks. The rest plays VG++ w/ some light random background surface noise and some other light random background ticks. Still has nice sound presence / VPI cleaned
COMMENTS: Here are the variations on this copy of this essential classic. It has the original cover w/ black on black Skull tatoo at the bottom left corner of the front cover although the wear has made it a bit harder to see compared to my cleaner personal copy. It is also more apparent under a halogen light. (See photo #2). The back cover & labels have "Here She Comes Now" title The labels have Three Prong Publishing. The back cover credits do not mention Andy Warhol.
NOTE: VPI cleaned means that this record was cleaned on a professional $500 cleaning machine, which does wonders for the playback of all vinyl records!
