Description
This is the original issue of The Velvet Undergrounds White Light White Heat LP from 1968. It is in the VERVE Label. Catelogue Number VLP 9201. This is the more sought after MONO version. This is the 'Skull' sleeve version, although it is hard to pick up on photo as it basically is a shade pattern on the front.
I rate my albums as according to the Record Collector Guide, and if anything I under-rate them so as not to give any false impression of quality. My guide is a true honest rating as I see them.
Because Rating is subjective, I cannot offer any returns on this type of item sold.
Ratings:
Vinyl:
Side 1. rated FAIR. It has got a lot of surface marks on, as the picture possibly shows. There is surface noise and crackling due to scratches when it is played and there is a couple of large scratches on this side.
Side 2. rated FAIR. Surface marks including several large ones, but these are not deep scratches. Crackling and surface noise is audible when played.
Inner Sleeve: This is just a standard white inner sleeve not exclusive to this album.
Album Cover: FAIR. This is not a laminated sleeve and has plenty of creases in it. The edges are very grubby with slight rips. There is a slightly larger rip at the top left hand corner. See picture
Album Rear: GOOD. All flipbacks sealed although grubby on edges. Some creasing on flipbacks but the main body of the rear is quite good with just a few creases. see picture
There is no defacing by Pen etc on the front, rear or vinyl label.
The album will come with a heavy duty PVC sleeve which it has been stored in.
