GRAIL TIME!
Venom Black Metal LP, 100% ORIGINAL 1st pressing, 1982 Neat Records. This is NOT a $hitty reissue or bootleg, this is the REAL DEAL! Black embossed cover, red font on Neat labels, correct run-outs with the 5 symbols and "Utopia" with the harp and "Rihtloe" inscriptions. A true 1st press of this album is hard enough to locate these days, but this one also is COMPLETE with the poster and lyric insert sheet! You just don't see this offered for sale these days, and you CERTAINLY don't see one in near TOP condition like this one! I can tell you this, I've owned at least 10 copies of this, and this was my keeper copy until about a year ago until I bought one from a collector friend that is ABSOLUTELY like new. This copy is as close to that as you are likely to find. For those that are unfamiliar with this cover, it was made from EXTREMELY flimsy cardstock. It is nearly impossible to find one without huge creases or seam splits because of this. So that makes this a very condition-sensitive cover. The only blemish on the whole package is a couple slight rubs and indentation on the front of the cover, and a slight bend, both shown in the pics. Other than that, it's pretty damn close to NM all around. The LP has no visible marks, (I don't think it has ever been played), the cover has virtually no wear other than what I just described, and the poster and insert are NM with no pin holes (!) stains, writing, rips or other defects... A TRUE TIME CAPSULE COPY!! I hate to sell it but why do I need two of them? My loss is definitely your gain. If you're looking for a near top condition, complete example of this legendary genre-defining release, this is your copy. Check out the hi res pics and see for yourself. All of these LPs are from my personal collection, and have been meticulously taken care of, maintained in an upright position in a humidity controlled room in a non-smoking home. They have always been in resealable outer plastic sleeves with the LPs stored in static free inner sleeves. These are not run of the mill, beaten up copies; they are well preserved, investment grade pieces.
