Verdi Aida Karajan UK Decca SXL 2167

Renata Tebaldi, Carlo Bergonzi and others with the Vienna Philharmonic conducted by Herbert von Karajan in this John Clushaw recorded blockbuster performance of Verdi’s opera Aida.  A 3 record set, this is English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2167/9), and the labels have a full frequency stereophonic  fatband, ffss logo, “Made in England” at 10 o’clock and a groove The records are of excellent appearance, and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. The box has some wear along the edges, at worst along the bottom at the back, and the two right-hand corners are split with one of them a little torn, but generally it is in very good condition and the libretto is excellent.

All my records are visually checked under a strong light and play tested - extensively if any doubt as to condition. I take pride in making my descriptions as accurate as possible. View my other auctions more English and rare Classical Records.
