THIS WEEK I WILL BE LISTING ULTRA RARE 78 RPM RECORDINGS I'VE RECENTLY ACQUIRED. THE MAJORITY OF THESE RECORDINGS ARE A SERIES OF 1930s AMERICAN COMMUNIST RECORDS RECORDED ON THE TIMELY RECORDING COMPANY LABEL AND EARLY 1900s "COON" SONGS. This Gennett 78 record numbered 1338 was most likely recorded in the early 1930s after Gennett stopped commercial recording but still produced sound effect records. It features the sounds of a Thompson sub-machine gun on the A side - 5 tracks total, single shots, short bursts, and long bursts. The B side features 4 tracks of 37mm anti-aircraft guns, both single guns and dual guns. These sounds are credited as being supplied by the U.S. Army. It is in excellent condition.
