Ultra rare and legendary British Jazz LP-The Jazz Couriers 1959 UK London original.Featuring the great Tubby Hayes,Ronnie Scott and other greats of the British Jazz scene .Sleeve has some wear,unfortunately,but nothing major-some creasing to top right of front cover and down the bottom of front cover,;not too bad really,considering age,rarity of LP and the fact that late 50's UK London LP's were quite flimsy affairs.Back cover is a little grubby and has some stains,sadly,also a sticker with the number 88.
Don't be put off by the covers' relatively indifferent state,though- the record is in great condition!! This is a lovely,clean copy .A very,very light surface mark on track 1 side 1,and some equally light,slight surface marks on track 4,side 1-but these can only really be seen when the record is held to the light.Otherwise&overall,Side 1 is genuinely Excellent-/Plays Excellent.Side 2 is also superb-a strong Excellent/plays Excellent -with no surface marks to speak of.There is just a little light ,slight surface noise in a couple of seconds of the very quiet passages near the start of 'My Funny Valentine' but nothing at all distracting.Otherwise there is no real surface noice on the whole LP. Again,-this is a cracking copy!! Not Mint(how many are?) but not all that far away,record wise.Originals are extremely rare and don't turn up all that often,especially in as fine condition as this-bid with confidence!
