Very Rare "Elvis Presley" Self-titled 1st LP Record 1956 . Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail. This is a rare pressing made for Armed Forces overseas in Germany. The LP has tape around the cover. The top is split completely and bottom is a little over half split. The LP has scratches as seen in the picture. I received the below from a website devoted to Elvis.
Matrix numbers Side 1:G2PP-1282-20S /Side 2:G2PP-1283-12S (Hollywood pressing)6 Inner Sleeve:Generic RCA or rice paper. This is the original printed in the U.S.A. release for the U.S. Armed Forces stationed in Germany that was distributed in 1956 and 1957. The cover and the record label read Printed in U.S.A. In the trail-off area of the record Manufactured in Germany is machine stamped. The cover reads LPM-1254 on both sides. The record label reads LPM-1254 C. It has the PX stamp on the back cover. The cover is not the same heavy stock used for the U.S. release. It is of lighter grey in color. The album slic is smooth and shiny on both sides. This is considered quite rare. Cover Front:RCA Victor logo and number at upper right. Elvis in light pink letters. Presley in dark green letters. CoverBack:Number at upper right. Four black-and white Elvis photos. Box of text at lower right explains New Orthophonic Recordings, Blunted Needles, and Gruve/Gard. May (should) have a U.S. military PX stamp on back of the cover.
