Description
This is an extremely rare find. The Dutch Capitol Records test pressing of Paul McCartney and Wings 1975 Venus and Mars album. Only a handful of these were made and fewer have survived. This comes from a collection of one of the children of an EMI producer who has kept it stored for over 40 years and has hardly played it. The sleeve has Wings written on it and the Matrix number (96623). The sleeve itself is not the 'normal' white generic sleeve, but a sleeve advertising the Delta anti-static mat. The record itself has the white Proefpersing (Dutch for Test Pressing) label on the A side and a white label on the B side. The sheet with details on the album (cue sheet) is missing. The record sounds good, and looks really good, with only one ticks and some crackling. I actually played it today to check and there are no skips etc. The sleeve looks used which is not surprising since it is over 40 years old and it looks like that.
