Notes: Very Rare!! withdrawn white label issue with STEREO printed for release. Tetragrammaton had planned on releasing a stereo version of this single. The matrix numbers on the printing acetate had been altered and etched with a stereo number 7725st but was scratched out and followed by the new number 7727-mono when they realized the track recording was in fact a mono recording. The labels were printed to show the new matrix numbers as a stereo pressing. the matrix numbers printed are A side 7727 and B side 7728. These numbers do not exist except on this rare factory mistake. The actual release of the corrected mono copies has the matrix numbers correct with A side 7725 and B side 7726. These numbers were to be the stereo copy matrix but eventually used as the mono release matrix. Tetragrammaton quickly realized the mistake and had all, but a very few copies destroyed, and the corrected white label promos printed and released. These copies are a complete factory mistake and should have never been released to the public but, a very few did get distributed on the west coast to California DJ's before the error was found and all copies were withdrawn and destroyed. Still, a couple survived and I'm quite sure that these passed through the hands of record label reps, DJ's and record dealers without knowing what a rarity it was they had in their hands! I have been in contact with a few top Deep Purple collectors and historians that are close friends of mine and even they were not aware of this rare copy until i had mentioned this release to them. A true rarity in every aspect of the word!! These few copies should have never made outside the Tetragrammaton factory walls!! The disc is in EX condition with almost no visible marks at all. Appears to be un-played! Labels are clean with no writing, stickers or tears!! There is a small wrinkle on the B side label next to the Tet. logo. Hard to tell if it is a tear or wrinkle? Only the release date from the factory rep written on the A side. A very nice copy of this extremely rare item!!!
*This item is visually graded only and not play tested*
Any questions about description or condition not answered here, please do not hesitate to ask before you bid. I want all to be as well informed as possible to avoid any issues.
Payments: Payments are Pay Pal only through eBay invoices. Payments must be made within 7 days of auction end. I will send invoices within 1-2 days of auction end. NOTE: Do Not Make Payment Until Invoice Is Sent!
SHIPPING: I do combine orders for multiple items won within the same 7-day auction period. AGAIN!! DO NOT PAY UNTIL INVOICED as shipping charges may automatically be charged to individual items without me combining them prior to invoicing and payment. Any charges that do happen within this manner will be refunded back to you so, please wait for invoice to spare any grief caused by this for you and me.
IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!!!
The USPS will no longer accept international packages registered with tracking. I now use the eBay international shipping that does include tracking on all packages. I can only send 5 items per package due to the limitations on the customs declaration forms. Every country has a different postage amount ranging from $24 to $30 per package. This is strictly an estimated cost! Only the actual cost will be invoiced once calculated after the end of auction. If you send me a message and ask for a postage cost for an item to your country, this is the best I can tell you. IMPORTANT!! If you buy more than 5 items, they will be split into 2 separate packages with the same postage cost applied to both at $24-$30 each package. IMPORTANT! import charges and taxes are not included with the postage charge. These extra costs are the responsibility of the buyer upon receiving the package. My shipping charges are just that. The charge it takes me to ship the item to you. Only actual shipping charges will be invoiced. I do not add extra charges to cover packaging or fees. these are included with the item sale price. Questions, PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU BID as some countries may have a different shipping cost to send to.
PACKING: All items will be well packed to try to avoid any possible damage in shipping. All records will be removed from their picture/art sleeves and placed in a generic white sleeve. Records with factory sleeves will be shipped within that sleeve unless requested otherwise.
RETURNS: I do not accept returns unless by the rare chance the wrong item was shipped to you. In 45+ years of shipping vinyl, this has not happened. in the rare event it does, I will pay for return shipping. Otherwise, the buyer is responsible for return shipping if the return reason is accepted by me. Any items damaged in shipping will NOT be an acceptable return reason. having your package insured for lost or damaged goods is the buyer's responsibility. this will be an additional charge for insurance. This extra charge is NOT included in my postage rates.
QUESTIONS: If you require any additional information. PLEASE do not hesitate to ask. I will answer all questions at my earliest availability to do so. Please try to ask any questions at least 1 day prior to auction end to ensure I have proper time to answer.
Look for more DEEP PURPLE and related items coming soon in the next few months!!
