Item Details
A branch of United Records, Verve is the arm of the famed music company that has released music from many of the top jazz and blues artists of all time. From the time of its founding in 1956, an ever-growing list of famed performers signed with them, from Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, and Diana Krall to Nina Simone, Oscar Peterson, and Herbie Hancock. In the early 2000s, aiming to draw new fans to the genre, Verve began releasing a series entitled Verve Remixed. Each record drew on classic jazz songs from their catalog, remixed by talented producers and DJs : MJ Cole, Thievery Corporation, King Britt, and many more.
As the series has grow in popularly, it has been released on CD, cassette, and vinyl...and this first album in the series has become increasingly hard to find. Even used copies demand exorbitant prices, with the only two available on Amazon listed at $165 and $200 (https://www.amazon.com/Verve-Remixed-Vinyl-Various-Artists/dp/B00006316V). This is a rare chance to get a brand new, sealed copy!
