Description

Extremely Rare Bob Dylan acetate recording from 1964

This one-sided acetate has two songs on it.

The first is 'Walls of Red Wing' performed by Bob Dylan (track 14 on vol. 1 of the bootleg series)

The next track is called 'Play One More'.  It is being sung by Ian & Sylvia, who were managed by Albert Grossman at the time.

History of the record :

In 1964, I had a five year recording contract with Micky Most and went under the name of Calvin James.  Micky was looking for new songs to record and came back from U.S. with a whole bunch of material. He gave me ten Bob Dylan acetates, including this one, to choose a song to record. Unfortunately nine of the records were stolen. This is the only surviving disc from that collection.

I am sure the person who wins this piece of musical history will not be dissapointed.  It still sounds remarkably good considering its' age. There are a few marks and scratches, but they don't really effect the overall sound.

Happy bidding,
