Description
If you can get past the stereotyped racial stuff and look at this as an interesting bit of history, this disc may be for you. Pictured is a Victor Monarch record titled "When The Coons Have A Dreamland Of Their Own" by Bob Roberts. It is record number 2833. It is the usual coon song type stuff, in this case about black folks setting up a paradise for black people. I did enjoy the line about "we'll have black electric lights". In any event, this record is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, gouges or other disasters. It was brushed but not washed, and it does need a bath as the playing surface has visibly soiled spots. In spite of that, it played with low/average surface noise, with the only noisy spots where you could see dirt scooting by the needle. I imagine a proper washing will do wonders for this already pretty darn good record. Hoping you can give this outdated social outcast a new home. Thanks for taking a peek!! A word about my lack of feedback. I've been a member of eBay for almost 12 years. However, I haven't sold anything in the last couple. In that time, eBay revised their feedback policy to, in my mind, the detriment of both buyers and sellers. However, eBay has now decided that buyers and sellers are too stupid to decide after the sale if the buyer wants the item insured. Therefore, because eBay will hold me responsible for the shipment regardless of who damages or looses it, ALL items will be insured. This insurance is a part of the total shipping cost shown.
