Description

McKinney's Cotton Pickers were a Afro-American jazz band, formed in Detroit in 1926, that during their heyday in the late 1920s and early 1930s, rivaled the bands of Fletcher Henderson and Duke Ellington.   The band's first two studio sessions in July of 1928 produced "Crying and Sighing" and "Nobody's Sweetheart" for the first Victor issued in the V-38000 series.    Don Redman was the music arranger.  Wear, some graying  SOL   V++
