Description
This is an original UK issue of Village's "Man in the Moon" / Long Time Coming.
The release is well known among psych fans - for others here's some background.
The band consisted of Pete Bardens (Shotgun Express and later Camel) Bill Porter and Bruce Thomas (later of Elvis Costello's Attractions).
They only managed one release on the Head label which the psych bible Tapestry of Delights describes as "obscure and sought after".
The A side has been featured on the Electric Sugar Cube Flashbacks - it features lots of wah wah guitars and an amazing meaty keyboard sound. The B side is an instrumental - a real freak out affair built around the incredible psych out organ sound.
Condition
Vinyl: overall there's little to spoil your enjoyment here - there's a small number of (surface only) marks on the A side - and at the beginning you'll hear some crackle until the main organ sound comes in . As the pic shows a previous owner has decided the B side is a better listen and written A on the label.
