ATTENTION!! PLEASE READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY!! ATTENTION!!
Today I will be listing a few LPs from a very diverse collection I picked up recently. These records will all be VISUALLY GRADED. I simply don't have the time to listen to all of them all the way through. Please read the DESCRIPTION and INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING paragraphs carefully. ALSO; I don't have a disc cleaner, so I'll leave the cleaning to the buyer.
I will also be listing some old photos, advertising, and other vintage ephemera. I buy at local auctions and estate sales here in rural NH all week and list most everything I find on Ebay.
THIS RECORD: Vintage 1950s LP Savoy 12068 BLUE LESTER featuring sax man Lester Young accompanied by Count Basie, Freddie Greene, Junior Mance, Jessie Drake, Roy Elliott, Leroy Jackson, Charlie Shavers, Johnny Guarnieri, and Hank D'Amico. I have listened to this LP all the way through. The record is in Excellent ++ condition with beautiful original gloss. There is one blemish on the first cut on side one - that's the only thing that keeps this disc from being a solid NM. At first glance I thought it was a scuff, but now I think it's a small spot of some old, sticky substance. I'll bet it can be cleaned off, but I'll leave that to the buyer to deal with. The spot causes a steady "tic" through most of that song, but no skips. The rest of the LP played fine with absolutely minimal surface noise, and I suspect that most of that will disappear with a good cleaning. No repetative tics or pops, no skips or other problems. This LP is a joy to listen to. The cover is complete and intact with some wear around the edges; there's a small 1 1/2" split on the top seam, no others. There is light soiling on the front of the cover, a little more on the reverse. It still displays quite nicely. Overall, this is a nice example of a very collectable and hard to find LP.
