Description

 Here is a vintage Vogue picture record from 1946-47. These records were only produced from May, 1946, until April, 1947. The record features a picture that is embedded into the vinyl and is related to the song on that particular side of the record. Most of these records are done in full color but this one is done in various shades of green. It is numbered R781 and features "I LOVE YOU (For Sentimental Reasons)", by Watson-Best, played by Art Kassel and his Orchestra and sung by Jimmy Featherstone on one side and "SOONER OR LATER", by Gilbert-Wolcott, played by Art Kassel and his Orchestra and sung by Gloria Hart on the reverse. The record measures 10" and is a 78 RPM; it was produced by Sav-Way Industries of Detroit, Michigan.<P>

There are no cracks or chips in the record and the pictures are bright and well defined. If you tilt the record into the light just right, you can see some light scratching and scuffing, typical of old records. There are also a few small rough spots along the outside edge. There is a deeper scratch on the Sooner or Later side by it is mostly located in the smooth non-recorded area. I have played this record on my record player and it plays through perfectly on both sides with no skips or warping. I have not cleaned this record but I'm sure it would benefit greatly from a proper cleaning by the collector who knows how to do this correctly.
