Description
Vintage 1950s “Radio Nederland” radio show on 3 10” transcription discs with cue sheet. The program is entitled “High Spirits From The Lowlands” Heavy duty cover opens as a gatefold, each of the three discs have their own pocket in a file cabinet like accordion pull-out. Each disc has it’s own inner sleeve with flap.
The discs look unused and feature contemporary and traditional music from Netherlands , even features at least one American title “Rock Around The Clock” by Bill Haley.
Entire package was made by Bovema in Heemstede, Netherlands. Discs are thick and look lathe cut, feel similar to a 78 RPM but are straighter and have a quality I cannot explain about them. These discs are to played at 33 1/3 RPM. Please view the picture of the cue sheet to get the contents of this unique radio program giving a rare snap shot of 50s Dutch radio.
