Description
Recorded in 1960, this original Booker Ervin Quintet COOKIN' Savoy MG 12154 is a first mono pressing with deep groove red and silver labels. Overall, the album for its substantial age shows minor wear and tear. It has been well cared for and has been cleaned on a VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine.
CONDITION
· VINYL- VG+: A listening test reveals an occasional light tick and very slight surface noise and distortion typical of a mono recording of the time. A visible review of sides 1 and 2 show surfaces clean with no visible scuffs or scratches.
· RECORD LABELS: Red labels show no marks, writing or substantial spindle wear.
· COVERS: Front and back covers are clean with no marks or writing. Both top and bottom right ends have about 4” seam splits. The spine and corners show some edge wear.
· SLEEVE: Original sleeve.
