Description
DESCRIPTION
A very retro-looking 1950s or 1960s CHENEY LP storage case with metal corner protectors, metal stud feet and check pattern lining.
The case is made stiff leatherite-like material, and is marked 'CHENEY' on the lock and 'CHENEY ENGLAND' on the back hinges.
The design is interesting, with the lid wider than the main body of the case.

CONDITION
There is no key for the lock, but apart from this the case is in very good condition - no structural damage; the lock clip works well; the exterior is generally clean, with some age-related yellowing on the stitched areas; there are a few minor scuffs here and there, and a longer (but shallow) fine-line scratch on the base (see photo); the metal parts have some light rusting/tarnishing which should clean up well; the inside lining has some yellowing (see photos) but is generally clean, with the exception of a small brown mark in the base; there is some tearing to the lining down the verticals and on one of the bottom corners; there is also a curved tear following the oval outline at one end of the handle fixing points.
