Description
Up for bid is what seems to be a rare bootleg recording of what David Bowie says on the album is "the last show of the tour and the last tour of the Spiders". First to address the condition of the record itself. It's in pretty good shape overall. There no scratches or gouges, just light handling swirls. The record plays well. While I was listening to it I believe it skipped once and that's about it (if you'd like a pic of the record itself let me know- the labels say nothing but side one and side two). The recording itself is not of the best quality. The first song first side sounds really bad and then they righted the mix and it starts to sound better through the rest of the record, but there are some glitches here and there where the volume changes noticeably and the same with the mix. There's also a couple of spots where it sounds like a tape that is either speeding up or slowing down (mastered from a tape?). SO MAKE NO MISTAKE-IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A QUALITY HIGH FIDELITY EXPERIENCE-LOOK ELSEWHERE. This album is strictly for Bowie and Spiders freaks that would like to hear a different take on the songs. Mick Ronson rocks out a few times and the other guys play stuff that sounds a little different to me than usual. Jeff Beck also makes a guest appearance on a medley of Jean Genie and Love Me Do. The cover looks like it was sitting in various record collections for 43 years. It has a stain on the bottom on both sides and typical wear. SIDE ONE: 1. Hang On To Yourself 2. The Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud/All The Young Dudes/Oh! You Pretty Things 3. Moonage Daydream 4. Changes 5. Space Oddity SIDE TWO: 1. Time 2. Suffragette City 3. Jean Genie/Love Me Do 4.Rock And Roll Suicide. At the end of each side there is a short strange sex question. At the beginning of side two there is some new agey kind of rap about "Spellcasters" and the appropriate number of people to have at each different type of orgy, etc., etc. This is rare (I do have another different bootleg from the same label possibly-check out my auctions). One on ebay just sold for around $240.00. I'm asking $55.00. S&H is $4.00 to the lower 48 states.
