Recently discovered ... this is one of only four, known remaining original manufacturer issue copies of the J.Teal Band "COOKS" LP from 1977. This is being offered directly from the ORIGINAL PRODUCER as a collector's item.
These original Mother Cleo Records LPS were discovered in a closet where they had been stored, and remained, for the past 37 years! Some of the covers have some dust under the shrink wrap, minor stains etc. but the inside vinyl is like new having been played only once. These were what is known as "ref check" copies, records pulled at random from each pressing plant carton, upon delivery, to check for pressing quality of the particular box lot.
These are the real deal ... new, original pressings from the limited edition 1977 "cult classic" that has seen surviving, used copies sell on vintage records sites for several hundred dollars per copy on occasion in recent decades, direct from a storage closet in the studio where it was recorded!
All but one have the original shrink wrap in place, albeit opened of course, for the reference check, one time play. The one without shrink wrap was on the bottom of the stack and the shrink wrap had become stuck to the shelf over time and was torn loose when the stack was removed from the shelf.
