Description
This 7" 45 rpm record features "First Time" on one side, and "You're My Girl" on the other, by Johnny October (1937-1999) with Al Caiola's Orchestra. Johnny October, whose real name was John Ottobre, was a pop singer in the 1950's from Philadelphia, PA, and a lead singer of The Four Dates.
The record is signed on the "First Time" side, and includes a Fan Club card with his picture.
This came out of the estate storage of the late NYC manager/club owner, Frank Cariola, who passed in December, 2024. He was the owner of two of the most legendary nightclubs on Long Island (NY), Sundance and The Roxy. He was instrumental in giving many artists a solid foundation from which to grow.
Condition - very good. It does have some light surface scratches, and fingerprints, but overall in very good condition.
