Description
Up for auction is the 1956 Elvis Presley debut LP Elvis Presley LPM-1254 RE. This one has me puzzled a little that leads me to believe that the record and cover do not belong together. The record has "Long Play" at the bottom which dates it to 1956. The front cover does not have "RE" after LPM-1254 but the back cover has "RE" after LPM-1254. The cover seems to be a variation that Jerry Osborne does not have listed in the Elvis Records and Memorabilia book that I have. This is the reason I have 1956 1963 in the title. The cover has some condition issues so please look at pictures closely and read entire description. Far from mint so a fair starting price.
*It does say RE after the small RCA on the bottom right. Very hard to see because of the background color.
COVER- Good. Has ring wear, corner and edge wear, corner dings and a large seam split top right. Has pencil and ink writing on the back top. Good at best in my opinion.
RECORD- VG. Record has nice gloss. It does have some light scratches but nothing deep. It plays wonderfully with no skips and minimal hiss and pops. Very clear! Would be a great replacement record if you have a better cover.
LABELS- VG. Nice shine with no wear.
Shipping is $4.00 within the United States. U.S. SALES ONLY unless you qualify for the Global Shipping Program. It will be packed and shipped securely with a tracking number.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
