Description
Here we have a rare Sex Pistols poster advertising the gig played at Manchester's Electric Circus on Sunday December the 19th, 1976. This was one of the few gigs where the band actually got to play as most of the dates on this tour were cancelled. The poster features the 'Anarchy In The UK' flag designed by Jamie Reid overlaid with the gig date.
This was given to me by the manager of the long gone John Lever record shop in Northampton way back in 1979 when I was an 11 year old punk. I was also given two posters that promoted the 'Some Product' LP but unfortunately these have both long disappeared. My Mum recently moved house and found this in the loft.
The poster measures 96cm by 71.5 and has tape marks on the top two corners, the bottom two corners are missing, there is also a 5.5 cm tear that has been repaired with tape on the right hand side. There are also crease marks on the poster as unfortunately it was never stored in a tube. This would look great framed as the printing is still nice and bright.
No time wasters or zero bidders and please email me if you need any more details or pics. Poster will be sent by signed for postal services only in a poster tube.
Thanks for looking and good luck.
