Vogue Picture Record
Welcome to our No Reserve auction for an interesting collectible "Picture Record" available to you at a fraction of the retail or antique cost! Check back frequently as I will be adding collectibles, antiques, and jewelry to my eBay listings & more, including a separate listing for a different Vogue Record. (Please note that the above picture is of the front and the back of a single record.)
Details:
- DescriptionThe Vogue Picture Discs are amazing for their detail and the instant visual reference to the post-war era when they were made (1946-1947.) This auction is for one with one side "You Took Advantage of Me" (Lorenz Hart - Richard Rogers), and the other "Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" (Ted Koehler - Harold Arlen), both marked Marion Mann, accompanied by Bob Haggart and Orchestra. Each side is also marked around the base, "R731, Licensed for non-commercial use on home phonographs only. P105 (c) Sav-Way Industries, Detroit 13, Michigan, Pat. Pending." What is truly striking about these records is the vivid, retro art style on both sides, making them a unique collectible item for their visual appeal, and not necessarily for the music that they play.
- Dimensions: The record is slightly over 9 3/4" in diameter.
- Condition: Unsure as to its working condition (untested); aesthetically, the record has some small scuffs, scratches, and one "tear" on the bottom of the "You Took Advantage of Me" side. In my opinion, it's in great vintage condition, due to its age and more than likely, gentle use; however, I imagine that a record with such interesting artwork on it would make for a more retro display on one's wall than it would being used in a record player.

Paypal is the preferred method of payment. Payment due within 4 days of auction's end. Shipping will be a flat-rate via USPS, unless specified otherwise in the auction. Combined shipping is available and the additional charge will depend on the type of item, but will not exceed $2 per item. (Only 50 cents for each additional piece of jewelry!) To honor combined shipping, auctions must end within 4 days of one another. 7-day satisfaction guaranteed - buyer is responsible for all initial and return shipping charges.
