Description

Walt Disney Productions, Studio Acetate, "Snow White Meets the Seven Dwarfs" dated 6-8-1956. Single sided, 78 RPM studio produced acetate record. VISUALLY GRADED AT EXCELLENT.(I do not have a 78 record player, I have no idea what is on this record.) No scratches, no gouging! There are barely visible light scuffs from the paper sleeve, that can only be seen in the right light. I am a record collector and dealer, for a 78 RPM acetate record this old, the condition is amazing. Acetate records damage and scratch very easy and are usually in poor condition, this one has no scratches and the coating is not cracking. Original, heavy brown cardboard sleeve included. I will put the record in a brand new paper inner sleeve up shipment.

Acetate records tend to be extremely rare, they are cut directly from sound master source, like the master tape or disc. They are usually for industry only purposes, as for use for radio airplay, promotional purposes, technical purposes like checking sound quality or seeing how a soundtrack syncs up to a film. They are individually cut on a studio record cutter, one at a time. They are not a mass produced, or mass marketed item! They are rare, and many times can be a one of a kind record. (Some of the rarest records in the world are acetates.) This is a bit of a mystery, what's contained in the grooves? How many were made? What was this records intended purpose?
