Vinyl Revival Talking Heads Speaking In Tongues David Byrne Clear Vinyl LP RARE
This is the original Limited Edition Clear Vinyl LP pressing of this 1983 Talking Heads album. Opening with the superb Burning Down The House, it signified a change of direction for the band. With guests like Bernie Worrell, Alex Weir and Nona Hendryx, as well as the wonderful Alex Sadkin at the controls, Talking Heads had become funky.
This limited release is funky, too. The vinyl was originally totally clear but, as seen in the photos, it has acquired a discoloured hue after 37 years of careful ownership. This will have occurred with all copies of the same age. Together with three separate prints (cyan, magenta and yellow) printed onto transparent plastic, the owner can swirl them around in synch to create "full colour" or mix and match to create unique patterns.
Truly, a wonderful item. This is only being sold as I am having to downsize my home to be with my new partner. The record plays perfectly and it's cased in the original clear plastic sleeve that clips together.
