Here I have for sale the rare UK release of the original soundtrack to the HTV Series 'Kidnapped' (1978) by Vladimir Cosma.

Original soundtrack music from the HTV (West) serial 'Kidnapped' based on 'Kidnapped' and 'Catriona' by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
Vinyl – EX. Superbly clean on visual inspection. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is excellent throughout. Only played a few times since bought.
Outer sleeve (Cover) – EX. Colours are unfaded. Superb laminated front. Only minor creasing. A couple of nicks in corners but otherwise clean and undamaged. Slight discolouration on rear and a few marks.
Inner sleeve – EX. Original Decca. Plastic-lined white paper with windows. Blue writing on each side. Clean and intact. Minor crimping/folding.

The TV series is based on two novels of Robert Louis Stevenson: "Kidnapped" and its sequel "Catriona". Most of the other "Kidnapped" TV and movie adaptations are based only on the first novel.

About the TV series:

The intriguing story of a young man in search of his home through Scotland during English occupation. Young David Balfour travels through the Highlands to get back what's his, all the time hiding from the English and meeting all kinds of people.

The series includes a remarkable piping contest and the musical score is superb: the title melody is hauntingly beautiful. It reminds you of great Celtic folklore, songs like Amazing Grace or Danny Boy. It's truly worthwhile.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
