( Includes the albmum jacket and the dance feet to correctly position your dance steps) INCLUDES ALBUM JACKET AND THE DANCE FEET TO CORRECTLY POSITION YOUR DANCE STEPS ).
Condition - Records R739 & R740 M-NM, Never Played, Out of original carton
Album Jacket- very light soiling, no tears or splits, solid
Dance Feet in cellophane- Never Used

These highly collectible picture records are no longer intended to be played (although they can be) but rather displayed for their aesthetic appeal. My focus had always been condition of these records when purchased. Please ask any questions before you bid.

The Vogue record company came into existence the year following WWII. The first issued record was released to the public on May 6, 1946 at Gimbel`s department store in New York. After a short life of only 15 months the company entered bankruptcy proceedings on August 30, 1947. The Vogue company was located in Detroit Michigan and it was owned and operated by Tom Saffady, a 28 year old inventive genius who had made a small fortune during the war. Tom Saffady had set out to invent a record which was unbreakable, which had a super-quiet surface, and which was pleasing to the eye. During the short life of the Vogue company less than 100 different records were released and very little actual documentation of the company has survived over the years. Given the brief existence of this company, most of the 1946-1947 picture records and trade advertising associated with Vogue are now highly collectible.
