Up for sale is a great little artifact of surf music from 1964.


The Super Stocks’ second album, Surf Route 101 is noticeably more polished than their first. Gone are the days of car engine overdubs, filler instrumentals, and growling saxes. While their initial album was firmly situated in the hot rod world, their second album shifts its focus over to surfing; and with more instrumentals than vocal numbers, it’s easily musically the most diverse of all the band's records. Surf Route 101 is a sundrenched offering chock-full of reverb, dynamics, and drum rolls making for some excellent instrumentals produced to the highest degree.


Vinyl here is VG- // light scuffs, some crackle, a few light pops here and there. Slight wrap on edge that doesn't affect play. I've included pictures of roughest visual parts.


Jacket is strong VG // spine is intact. Small blue pen scribble on bottom left. Minor 2" split in bottom middle. Smaller on top What's important is that the cellophane 45 sleeve is intact - no rips which is a common issue on these. 45 not included.

This is truly one of the pinnacles of surf music.
