ROCK N' ROLL GREATEST HITS
FOR THE CLASSIC JUKE BOX
Volume 1
.
24 Classic 1950's Rock n' Roll and Doo Wop 78's
Faithful Reproductions of Original A / B sides and labels.
.
This is the complete set of 24 records and was the very first set of reproduction jukebox 78's ever made.
Quality vinyl pressings (both a and b-sides) w/ faithful clear sound and accurate reproductions of the original labels.

VINYL is (very few) VG+ to (mostly) NM
Most sides appear totally unplayed, with wisps of 'pressing flash' still present in the center holes of some; the few marks on any of these seem mostly to be inherent in the pressings. One mark looked like it might affect play, so I test-played it through hearing no background noise at all. I played a number of the sides and they all played great.
.
BOX is VG+
Overall very clean and solid all the way around with no breaks, tears or splits in any corners or edges. Back (bottom) shows mild wear. Front (top) side has almost no wear, but there are a few small scrapes on lid.

*Please excuse any 'grainy' look to pictures (...from low-light photos).
.
STRICT CONSERVATIVE GOLDMINE GRADING
NM / EX(VG++) / VG+ / VG
In this earliest set even the record labels were reproduced such as Dootone, Checker, Ember, GEE, Coral, Mercury, COED, Brunswick, Decca...
These records are VINYL; not the fragile shellac of most 78rpm records. These were made with the intention of being played in 78rpm jukeboxes; but will play on any standard turntable that has a 78rpm speed setting, with normal, modern cartridges.

The Elvis records are on the RCA white PROMO "RECORD PREVUE" "Disc Jockey Sample" labels. All records are in the original white 10" sleeves that came with the set. These are all super clean. There are also protective 'spacer' sheets between each record in the box; oddly, these seem to be cut out of various soul record covers - white one side and 10" of album cover art on the reverse.

Some of the titles include Jailhouse Rock, Don't Be Cruel, Peggy Sue, Rock Around The Clock, In the Still of the Nite, Earth Angei Little Darlin' and many other beloved tunes of that era.

48 sides in all
including
Elvis Presley
Buddy Holly
The Diamonds
Dion & The Belmonts
Little Anthony & The Imperials
The Penguins
The Marcels
Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers
Danny & The Juniors
Bill Haley & The Comets
The Five Satins
The Monotones
...many more

GREAT gift for any fan of classic 50's Rock & Roll and Doo Wop!
.
This Box Set kept in a protective, poly outer bag.
