Description
Prestige Bluesville 1060, "The Blues of Wade Walton: Shake 'Em On Down", from 1962. Wade Walton, vocals, guitar and harmonica; Memphis Mango, second guitar. This is the trident-label vinyl from 1964. It plays at NM with virtually no background sound. The jacket is in the original shrink wrap and looks practically like new with no seamwear, ringwear, corner wear, bends, or stamps; there is a latter-day price code written on the back at lower right where the shrink has been slightly torn away. This was Walton's only LP, and it was a worthy effort. Tracks are "Big Fat Momma", "Choo Choo de Shoo Shoo", "Short Haired Woman", "Forty-Four", "Kansas City Blues", "Rock Me Momma", "Blues Stay Away from Me", "Parchman Farm", "Big Six", "and "Shake 'Em On Down". The Parchman song is really a narrative done to guitar accompaniment.Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. A few record labels such as Folkways may be slightly more expensive to ship overseas. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
