Please read the following description carefully, as there are imperfections which may or may not be important to you.
This set was at some time in a Library, and the box has been laminated by the library for protection as the textextured surface used by Decca on these boxes was prone to wear. The laminate has essentially done a good job but one of the corners has suffered a split over the course of time, and will need a simple tape repair. Check the photos to see this more clearly. Also, the inside of the box lid is scruffy due to library tickets/stickers being removed. The box is otherwise very solid and does the job.
The 48 page book has a paper clip mark on the front plus a written number. The back page has a couple of stains, all the other pages are in very clean and tidy shape.
The vinyls All 5 records still retain their original gloss, and I can see no surface marks. I have played 3 sides and the sound is superb, so surface -wise they should grade near mint. However, check the photos and you will see a 'sticker removed' mark on the labels (this is the same on one side only of ALL 5 discs). For this reason, I can only grade at Excellent .
If you are looking for a perfect item, this is not for you, but if you are interested purely for the music and the rarity of this item, then here is an opportunity to buy at a realistic price. Mint copies of this item will probably fetch £75 or more, my start price reflects the declared defects.
