Rare! Stitched covers!! Earliest possible label!
You are bidding on a set of RARE, earliest possible mono DGG recordings of Richard Wagner Der Fliegende Hollander – Romantische Opera in drei Akten (Romantic Opera in Three Acts). Conducted by Ferenc Fricsay. With Josef Greindle, Annelies Kupper, Josef Metternich, Wolfgang Windgassen, Steglinde Wagner, and Ernst Hafliger. Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft 18063 LPM, 18064 LPM, and 18065 LPM. Made in Germany.
Records are in lovely condition, with just some light surface marks visible that cause just some touches of surface noise. Record 18065 shows two pressing bubbles which cause only some brief ticking, and nothing more! GY1 pressings – earliest possible labels!!
Jackets are generally in excellent condition, with stitching intact. Just some light edge and corner wear, ring wear, and light creasing that are so typical of these very flexible European covers. Record 18063 LPM has small section of jacket missing at top of front cover. Otherwise, just fine!
