WAGNER : DIE WALKURE [ act one complete ] & GOTTERDAMMERUNG [ Dawn , Siegried’s Rhine Journey and Funeral Music ] . Performed by The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by HANS KNAPPERTSBUSCH and featuring KIRSTEN FLAGSTAD , SET SVANHOLM & ARNOLD VAN MILL . 1960 or 61 Stereo First Pressing 2LP Box Set on Decca SXL 2074 - 5 Wide Band Groove “ Original Recoring By “ label . Complete with insert booklet . This EXTREMELY RARE Decca recording contains Act 1 complete of Die Walkure over 3 sides and excerpts of Gotterdammerung on 1 side . The Box is in Very Good - Condition , it is complete and intact with some wear to the edges and neat repairs to 2 corners . The Records have one or two very minor marks / scuffs , but these produce no noise . Overall the Records play to an EXCELLENT grading with no distortion and minimal surface noise . I have cleaned these records once with isopropyl alcohol on my Moth record cleaner . This is a rare opportunity to obtain a copy of this very desirable box set in Excellent playing condition . Please do not hesitate to ask any questions and I will answer as quickly and honestly as I can . This is a genuinely RARE set with a high book price so I have set a fair reserve on it . All LPs are cleaned on a Moth mk. 2 record cleaner, are visually inspected and any marks are tested for noise on a high quality system . Records are removed from sleeves for dispatch and are sent in new mailers. I am happy to combine purchases to save on postage costs .
