The first performance of this opera was done in the same theater 21st June 1868. Here Joseph Keilberth conducts the Bavarian Stae Orchestra with some of the best german and foreign singers performing: Hans Hotter, Otto Wiener, David Thaw, Carl Hoppe, Benno Kusche, Josef Metternich, Walther Carnuth, Franz Klarwein, Karl Ostertag, Adolf Keil, George Wieter, Max Proebstl, Jess Thomas, Friedrich Lenz, Claire Watson, Lillian Benningsen and Hans Bruno Ernst. German press white labels booklet included.
