"Walk in Peace. Sir Lancelot Singing His Own Calypsos". TWO album set. People's Song Album 2 (Charter Records Album #110). Dated 1946.  Album cover is in GOOD condition. The two 78 rpm records are in Very Good condition. SIGNED inside the front cover in blue pen: SIR LANCELOT. Also SIGNED on the record album

LANCELOT VICTOR EDWARD PINARD (1902-2001) had the major role in popularizing calypso music in the USA. He was a Trinidad born singer/actor who was very popular in the 1940s-1960s. He made more than 15 films. In 1948 he composed the score for TARZAN & THE MERMAIDS. He became a US citizen in 1960. His music was the inspiration for the theme song for the television show GILLIGAN'S ISLAND.
