WARHORSE - self titled
1970 UK large Vertigo Swirl earliest pressing with gleaming vinyl and super STEREO audio quality
Year/Label : 1970 UK VERTIGO large swirlLabel number : STEREO VO 6360 015
Matrix numbers : 6360015 A//2, 6360015 B//2
Stampers : 11 5 / 11 1
Glossy, beautiful black sheen, completely flat and excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - difficult to identify any blemishes in normal daylight and even with close inspection under a bright light it is only a couple of extremely faint and small paper scuff marks that come into view. Each label is excellent plus also with the only blemishes being a couple of small and very faint spindle lines adjacent to the centre hole on each label, with the iconic large Vertigo Swirl logo ad black text in perfect order. Clearly, this is a record that has been only sparingly played, and difficult to believe that it is a 53 year old antiquity! Very good plus (VG+) condition non-laminated original UK outer gatefold sleeve. Firm edges with just the very occasional small and very light scuff mark, a rigid spine with the occasional small "nick" and mild rubbing at each end but the spine text remains largely intact and legible. There is no fraying on the opening edge sand the interior of the gatefold is beautiful with just a couple of small and very light handling/storage marks...nothing really. The only real blemish of note is a small area of scuffing towards the front side bottom left corner (see photo) where presumably a label was once located and has since been removed. Excellent (EX) STEREO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, interference, distortion or background crackle - incredible! Every track is a brilliant listen with wonderful tone and crystal clear vocals and instrumentation. What an underrated album this is! Comes with original and very good plus (VG+) condition poly-lined Vertigo Swirl inner sleeve - correctly dated with no seam splits or tears, some mild age discolouration towards the edges, and barely any creasing at all.
A brilliant and grossly underrated album, very highly collectable too (especially in condition as truly impressive as this), gracing any serious rock vinyl collection.
POSTAGE COSTS :
For the UK £5 using Royal Mail tracked 48;
for continental Europe £13 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,
and for the rest of the world £19 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.
I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.
Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 54 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
