Presentation:The double CDs are presented in deluxe case-bound 10” folders, exclusively packaged for this box set, with fan messages appearing on a pull-out poster.
The vinyl editions are exclusive to this box set, and they feature exclusive, premium packaging in 10” case-bound uncoated card sleeves with debossed typography.
Warp20 comes beautifully packaged in a 10” square slipcase wrapped in charcoal buckram embossed paper with tipped-on gloss-laminated cover photograph, designed by YES, and photographed by Dan Holdsworth. Dan’s work has been exhibited in The Saatchi Gallery, The National Maritime Museum, Centre Pompidou (Paris) and The Museum Of Contemporary Photography (Chicago), enhancing Warp20’s standing as a genuine music and art collection.
Details:Not sealed but overall EX, and barring one or two minor imperfections would grade as near mint. The vinyl and CDs show no obvious signs of having being played, although there are just a couple of instances of the tiniest of superficial sleeve removal type paper scuffs. Generally the vinyl and CDs gleam as new however.
The five sleeves for the vinyl releases show just a tad of creasing at upper right corners, with one (pictured) having just a tad of a crease to bottom left corner, but this is very light and not at all pronounced. There is just a hint of some rubbing to the top centre of some of the outer sleeves, but this is minimal and not severe enough to cause seam splits. The remainder of the interior packaging and book are near mint.
The outer box is generally still very bright and clean, and is unmarked and free of scrapes. There is a slight bump to the top right front corner, and there is some splitting of surface material to the joint in the same area. This area is pictured for clarification. Note that the box is not split here, it is just closed splitting to the outer layer, and without loss. The close-up photo does rather over-exaggerate this damage, which in truth isn't anywhere as noticeable as it may appear. There is scope for careful restoration in this area, and I should imagine this would hardly show if restored.
All in all a very well preserved set.
