WATERLOO: FIRST BATTLE (Vogue Belgium CLPVB 016)
Extremely rare Belgian progressive monster. Heavy guitar/organ dominated masterwork with impressive dual leadvocals and inspired flute (unlike bands like Jethro Tull the flute, however complicated, takes on a supporting role); musicwise can be compared to the top italians, but make no mistake: this lp is a lot rarer!
Contrary to a lot of other rare progressive albums that never sold because, frankly, they were never any good, this is a great record: not only with exquisite and wonderful musicianship, but with great tracks too. The long Diary Of An Old Man compares favourably to even the best of the British...
The fully laminated sleeve is in excellent condition, only the slightest signs of coverwear, no marks, tags or writing. The record itself is all a serious collector could want: plays without flaws, no skips, jumps or cracks. All in all a once in a lifetime opportunity to obtain such a great & excellent item. This record has to the best of my knowledge not been offered in the recent past. Due to the rarity of this item there is a reserve of approx. 600 dollars.
Could well be the rarest European progressive lp!
