Clean, Glossy vinyl has scattered light scratches and surface scuffs, mostly unfeelable; one definite pop at the beginning of song 2, side 2, otherwise plays through well, with occasional light tics - playing much better than its visual grade - as one can expect from a Monarch pressing.  No skips. Bright clean labels both sides with no spindle trails.

COVER is VG+
Vibrant color front cover shows some mild to moderate shelf wear and one light crease at u.r. corner ... still pretty frame-worthy. Moderate shelf wear to back cover in the black background. No other creases, no writing, dings or soil. All corners sharp, all edges straight. Seams and spine completely intact with no splits.

WEIGHT are an almost totally unknown obscurity - a group from upstate New York.

Very obscure late 60's Hippie Psych band ’s only album; a definite rustic “The Band” (Big Pink) rural psych rock sound and feel along with the sort of vibe and flavor you'd get from the more laid back late ’60s San Francisco groups sounds, like the WOW period MOBY GRAPE, with some added heavy bluesy Psych sections. Solid lead singer, Peter Masi, who writes all the songs, often sounding much like (Big Star / Box Tops) Alex Chilton.

Original AVCO EMBASSY Company inner sleeve included, in excellent condition, with no tears or splits.

The LP starts out with an off-beat, goofy rural rocker ‘The Night The Pig Got Loose’ …a wild account of a drug bust delivered in a mountain hippie-tripper escape vein and as the album progresses it gets far more ‘weighty’ as it ventures into rural Hippie Psych territory, with some beefy guitar work turning up the heat. 
Plenty of excellent guitar/organ interplay through the LP; The organ sections stand out particularly well in ‘Open Up Your Gate’ and ‘Mr. M, Mr. N And Mr. C’ ...with a definite nod to Mr. D, Bob D. that is. The Psych edge to the standout ‘Overhead Ego’ is especially cool and more progressive leanings highlight the Side One closer, the extended ‘I’m Sure We’re Gonna Die’.
