Founded in 2015, German Psychedelic Progressive quintet Welcome Inside The Brain released a self-titled EP in the same year, in an edition of 500 copies, which was sold out very quickly. The five-piece then played numerous shows and supported Banned From Utopia, Frank Zappa's original band, in autumn 2016. In spring of 2017 the band went on tour in France. Afterwards they played club shows with big names like Birth Control or Siena Root. In autumn 2017 Welcome Inside The Brain shot their first music video for the song Snails On Speed/ Buddha In A Bottle, a track that is featured on the first album Celebrate The Depression which was released at the end of 2017 by Nasoni Records.
Select reviews compared the band to artists like King Crimson or David Bowie. Numerous radio stations in Canada, USA, UK and Poland aired the album intensely, and even German national radio Deutschlandfunk Kultur highlighted the yet young band. Meanwhile Welcome Inside The Brain are booked at festivals like Fusion, Burg Herzberg, Magnificient Music Festival etc.
The new album Queen Of The Day Flies will be due out on Tonzonen Records on May 24, 2019 on all formats.
Gegru¨ndet 2015, vero¨ffentlichte die Band noch im selben Jahr ihre erste EP 'Welcome Inside The Brain', deren 500er Auflage sehr zu¨gig vergriffen war. Die fu¨nfko¨pfige Band spielte daraufhin zahlreiche Konzerte und supportete im Herbst 2016 'Banned from Utopia', die Originalband von Frank Zappa. Im Fru¨hjhar 2017 ging die Band auf Frankreich-Tour. Im Anschluss standen gemeinsame Clubkonzerte mit Szenegro¨ßen wie Birth Control oder Siena Root an. Im Herbst 2017 drehten 'Welcome Inside The Brain' ihr erstes Musikvideo fu¨r den Song 'Snails On Speed/ Buddha In A Bottle', der auch auf dem ersten Album 'Celebrate The Depression' (LP/CD) vertreten ist, welches Ende 2017 u¨ber Nasoni Records erschien. Die internationale Fachpresse bejubelte das Album in ho¨chsten To¨nen. Etliche Kommentatoren zogen Parallelen zu Ku¨nstlern wie King Crimson oder David Bowie. Zahlreiche Radiostationen in Kanada, USA, GB bis nach Polen stellten das Album hierauf intensiv vor und sogar Deutschlandfunk Kultur widmete sich in einem Beitrag der Band.
