Description
For auction is the WES MONTGOMERY TRIO's "A Dynamic New Sound: Guitar/Organ/Drums," on Riverside RLP 12-310, MONO, DG, 1959.
SOUND: VG/VG+
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, the playback is very nice. Several cuts are outstanding in clarity. But there are also instances of faint surface noise or tics, very minor and not a big deal. There are 2 patches where tics are systematic: throughout most of A3, then again for a brief interval at the end of B2. They are soft, not loud. I'm being complete... overall even these sections aren't egregious, and this record is thoroughly enjoyable.
VINYL: VG
Visually, the vinyl looks very good, glossy and clean. There are a number of faint marks or scuffs on either side, but the only one that is feel-able is in B2, resulting in a brief interval of systematic tics as described above. The record has small blue "mike-and-reels" with deep grooves, in very nice condition.
JACKET: VG+
The jacket is nice, with solid edges and spine, with average wear. The corners have a little softening/fraying. The front and back covers are unmarked, with routine wear and aging. Not bad.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
