 FAST FREIGHT ROLLING (SOUNDS OF THE WESTERN MARYLAND STEAM LOCOMOTIVES) (BOX SET LP + 45) Presented by The Western Maryland Historical Society (Semaphore Records S2R-4M). Released 1985. 



 
    In wonderful condition. Looks virtually unplayed. Two-record Box Set with bonus 45 & 12-page illustrated booklet adorned with beautiful glossy black & white photos. Nice pics of steam locomotives, detailed service-area route map & more. (Map extends from St. Louis, Missouri to Portland, Maine!). Superb bronze label! Great text. The companion 45 presents exerpts from "Western MD Shay No. 6 -Ghost Whistle at Cass. Three records, excellent box & a superb booklet.

  The owner treated all these train records with great care. Apparently, the album was played just once to tape it & stored it away inside a protective plastic inner sleeve since the moment of purchase. Produced by A. Alan Botto for Semaphore Records in Princeton, NJ. Recorded by John Prophet. Platter is in superb condition. Crispy sharp shape!! Record & booklet are pristine - Near Mint; box is in Excellent condition.

  No seam splits, tatters, scratches, writing, tears, bubbles, puncture holes, water damage, price tags, or color fading on the cover. Spine is fully readable & looks very nice. Thin line of light scuffing along the edge. Nice flat rigid cover. Vivid yellow label look great: rich color, no stains, scuffs or writing. Sharp-cut hole free of spindle scuffs. 




   DISCS - Near Mint

   Both discs are free of scratches, scuffs, flecks, stains, skips, warping, & residue on the disc or dead wax. Stored long term in protective plastic inner sleeve. Exemplary reflective sheen on the platter surface free of pits, chipping & cracks. Album has been safely stored upright in smoke-free, climate-controlled conditions.
