Description
On auction is an original 1950 release of FRANZ SHUBERT / STRING QUARTET, D MINOR (DEATH AND THE MAIDEN) / VIENNA KONZERTHAUS QUARTET . The record is a MONO pressing on WESTMINSTER RECORDS WL-5052. The Quartet consists of the following musicians: ANTON KAMPER (first violin), KARL MARIA TITZE (2nd violin), ERICH WEISS (viola), FRANZ KWARDA (cello). This record came from the estate of a musician who played violin for the Los Angeles Philharmonic. His estate sale contained one of the largest collections of classical records in excellent condition...all were housed in individual binders with albums stored in record pockets. Below is a detailed grading for this record.
COVER = EX- with no writing, no ring wear, very little edge wear, no seam splits, no creases on corners, clean glossy front cover, some age spots on back white cover.
VINYL = NEAR MINT- with plenty of gloss and shine, very little paper scuff marks, no major scratches, clean labels free of writing or spindle wear
PLAY GRADED at EX with clean clear sounds and very low background, no skips or jumps, bold sounds.
